Bill Vazan
From May 30th 1977 to July 2nd 1977
A Wood / Un bois

"Bill Vazan’s cibachrome color photographs and color Xeroxes at Optica […] are about a small wooded area gradually being cleared for subdivision near his home. Vazan use a variety of experimental and descriptive approaches in presenting these trees, skies, tree houses, rubbish, etc. (The grass and beer can pieces were done by placing the objects directly on the Zerox machine.) [...] Vazan’s past achievements – he’s one of Montreal’s best-known conceptual artists – lead one to suspect he may develop some of these pieces to good effect in future works."
