Nous offrons des activités éducatives de qualité aux centres de la petite enfance (CPE), aux institutions d’enseignement primaire, collégial et universitaire, ainsi qu’aux familles et aux groupes communautaires.

Explorez le mouvement vivant lors d’une visite-atelier des expositions de Simon Belleau et de Julien Discrit. En compagnie du médiateur du centre, vous observerez des éléments en pleine transformation ; des champignons qui poussent et prennent des formes inusitées, ou encore de gigantesques fourmis en balade. Dans une ambiance conviviale et ludique, vous prendrez ensuite part à la création d’une installation collaborative inspirée par le ruban de Möbius et les liens entre les sciences naturelles et l’art.

Les lieux de notre quotidien recèlent d’histoires qui ne demandent qu’à être imaginées. En compagnie de l’éducateur du centre, les jeunes participants s'initieront à l’art de la mise en scène en participant à la conception d’un scénarimage (ou storyboard) collaboratif en trois dimensions. Une maquette modulable sera installée au centre OPTICA ; les jeunes seront conviés à transformer ou à ajouter des éléments de décor, à inventer des personnages et à créer des récits.

OPTICA offre des visites interactives destinées aux enfants qui leur apprennent à observer et à décoder une œuvre, à discuter en groupe de ce qu’ils voient et à partager leurs observations.

Les ateliers créatifs sont adaptés à l’âge de nos visiteurs et établis en fonction des directives du Programme de formation de l’école québécoise et dans un esprit de conformité aux compétences transversales mises en avant par l'éducation préscolaire et primaire.

Après une visite guidée des expositions de Simon Belleau et de Julien Discrit, les enfants participeront à un atelier de création durant lequel ils prendront part à la réalisation d’une installation collaborative.

Des visites commentées des expositions en cours sont offertes pour les clientèles collégiales et universitaires. Nous pouvons organiser sur demande des discussions ou des tables rondes à propos de thèmes divers comme par exemple la mission d’OPTICA, le mandat des centres d’artistes ou tout autre sujet lié à l'actualité de l'art. Ces rencontres prennent place dans l’espace AGORA d’OPTICA.


Le programme éducatif reçoit le soutien du ministère de la Culture et des Communications et de la Ville de Montréal dans le cadre de l'Entente sur le développement culturel de Montréal ainsi que de la Caisse Desjardins du Plateau-Mont-Royal.
