Since its creation in 1972, OPTICA, a centre for contemporary art, has endeavoured to promote contemporary art and has contributed to advancing Montreal’s reputation on the national and international scene. Heavily involved in curatorial research and production, the centre presents a varied, yearly exhibition program, along with conferences and get-togethers with artists and professionals in the art milieu.
OPTICA is looking for interns to work under the supervision of the communications and archives coordinator. The internship is composed of three major projects:
-coordinating the digitization of three books published by the centre;
-updating OPTICA’s art books distribution activities;
-processing the paper archives for the year 2009.
We are looking for people who are conscientious, self-motivated, and fluent in French and English. An interest in archival work is a must.

Nature of the Internship:
- Unpaid
- September to December 2016
- Minimum 5 hours / week (the schedule may be flexible)
